We realize there's only so much time one can spend in a day watching new trailers, viral video clips, and shaky cell phone footage of people arguing on live television. Between Les Miserables, Battleship, The Great Gatsby, The Wolverine, and Noah, it's getting hard to keep track of all the upcoming movies we Have A Bad Feeling About. Remarkably, a project that no longer meets this criteria is Peter Jackson's The Hobbit. To be fair, it's been knocked off our radar by other things -- including Darren Aronofsky's inability to find a lead for his post-apocalyptic Ark story -- but the mood seems lighter on Part II than it was in the first installment's teaser trailer from December where everyone just hung out around the Shire. Peter Jackson went everywhere in his new on-set video blog, and people actually seemed excited to be making this particular movie. As did Jackson, though he did refer to the film's skies as "boring." Deadspin deemed Jon Hamm's delightful story about the time he sort of played baseball with Roger Clemens "bullshit," which is harsh and wrong, because nobody would invent a story about playing baseball with Roger Clemens. He was a bad teammate, albeit one who struck lots of guys out. Also, he unretired and kept the orange retirement Hummer the Houston Astros gave him. That was a real Archibald Whitman maneuver. [CBS]

ESPN NFL reporter brought us up to date with more specifics about the investigation, including the fact that NFL investigators confirmed the existence of the pool (or 'Bounty Program' as ESPN has tagged it) by studying thousands of pages of documents. We have never taken part in a bounty pool where the objective is to injure opposing quarterbacks, but even we know you do not keep documents pertaining to said bounty pool. It's just common sense.
