Johnny Depp breaks his silence on his divorce news
Amber Heard and Johnny Depp are getting divorced, just 15 months after their wedding.
Heard filed for divorce on 22 May citing irreconcilable differences.
In a statement sent to E! News, a representative for Depp said: "Given the brevity of this marriage, and the most recent and tragic loss of his mother, Johnny will not respond to any of the salacious false stories, gossip, misinformation and lies about his personal life. Hopefully the dissolution of this short marriage will be resolved quickly."
The pair wed at their LA home in February 2015, following their meeting on the set of their movie, The Rum Diary, in 2011.
The news comes a month after Heard and Depp filmed an uncomfortable apology to the Australian people, when Heard smuggled her dogs into the country without the proper checks.
It is not a good month for Depp, whose mother died aged 81, after suffering from a long illness, just three days before Heard filed for divorce.
