John McCain's Awkward #StandWithRand Moment

Few things are more embarrassing than getting into a dispute with someone, and then having to face them later that day. It's even worse when your spat was broadcast live on national television.

Sens. John McCain, R-Ariz., and Rand Paul, R-Ky., had just such an awkward moment Thursday. McCain had spent the morning berating Paul over his 13-hour stemwinder against extrajudicial drone strikes. Later on, New York Times photographer Stephen Crowley captured an unintentional elevator encounter in a series of images. Bet that was a fun 30 seconds.
