The aides who are assuming the role of "parents in the room" and trying to subvert/control the President appear to have in essence staged a partial palace coup. It appears to have come about with the best of intentions--to preserve our democratic republic. But I agree with Matt Bai. Their actions are not constitutional. Let the system work that way it was intended by the framers of our constitution. They are not empowered to remedy this situation by themselves behind closed doors and absent proper oversight by Congress, the SCOTUS and the people. They should seek to help the people and Congress to invoke Article 25, even if that brings about a constitutional crisis.
Here's a couple famous quotes about leadership. Do they sound like Trump? Teddy Roosevelt - “People ask the difference between a leader and a boss. The leader works in the open, and the boss in covert. The leader leads, and the boss drives.” General Montgomery - “My own definition of leadership is this: The capacity and the will to rally men and women to a common purpose and the character which inspires confidence.”
Spot on article. The Atlantic, a conservative magazine, posed a similar theme: The American Public did not vote for aides and an appointed staff to become the president because the one sitting at the Resolute Desk has unravelled. If confidence in the President's ability has deteriorated to this degree, he must be removed from the office.
I spent twenty five years serving in the Marine Corps. From that base of experience, I offer this: You can judge the leadership of an organization by assessing the morale, loyalty and discipline of that organization's subordinate members.
"A bunch of smart people (and Sean Spicer)......" LOL - that is a brilliant line.
Agree with Bai, if Trumps administration is deliberately disobeying his orders then rather than ignore them resign and publicly state your reasoning. Gary Cohn did it when he resigned over tariffs. So there was someone who had integrity.
Until Congress represents the interests of the people and not big money donors the subversion of our government is still happening.
The Republicans in the U.S. Congress have devolved to the point where they no longer have any testicular fortitude. These political eunuchs have put party over country to the extent that chaos constantly bubbles below the surface of this administration. The coming November elections will be both a test and an opportunity for the citizens of this country to make a critical "course correction". You and I, the everyday people of this bastion of democracy, must inform the folks CURRENTLY at the helm that what passes today will be unacceptable tommorrow. Vote as if your life depended on the outcome because it does.
David Dennison is an honest guy and a greatest president --bigly in fact . :-)
By their fear, and failure, to invoke the 25th Amendment, for fear of invoking an Constitutional crisis, they already have, in fact, invoked an Constitutional crisis.
In related news, President Trump has announced that the duties of all former cabinet members will now be handled exclusively by Jared and Ivanka.

The last few episodes of Celebrity Apprentice: White House Edition have been really entertaining.
