The 2014 edition of the British Fashion Awards will take place on December 1 in the London Coliseum, and insider sources claim that designer John Galliano may hand out a prestigious award that evening.
The new Maison Martin Margiela creative director may be back in the limelight on the stage of the British Fashion Awards to hand Anna Wintour her Outstanding Achievement Award, according to WWD.
This award will recognize the groundbreaking career of the Editor of American Vogue and artistic director of Condé Nast. This honor and its recipient were announced a few weeks back, however insider sources think that the dismissed Dior creative director will also play a key role that evening.
Both British Fashion Council and Vogue declined to comment on these claims, however, if they were true, the designer would be a logical choice since Wintour has always stood by her longtime friend. For instance, Grazia.co.uk outlined last year that the designer’s stint at the F/W 2013 Oscar de la Renta show was her idea.
