John Cena cements his status as a BTS super ARMY by tweeting quote from RM's UN speech

Professional wrestler-turned-actor andcertified BTS ARMY member John Cena went viral after sharing a line from RM’s United Nations General Assembly speech to his millions of followers on Twitter.

Viral quote: Cena, 44, received more than 74,000 retweets and over 196,000 likes on Twitter for quoting the leader of BTS, Kim Nam-joon, better known by his stage name RM,Pinkvilla reported.




  • If we believe in possibilities and hope, even when the unexpected happens we will not lose our way but discover new ones,” the quote read.

  • The septet, consisting of members RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook, accompanied South Korean President Moon Jae-in at the U.N.G.A. last week as special presidential envoys. The group delivered their speech supporting UN goals and performed “Permission to Dance” at the 76th meeting of world leaders.

  • Tweeting out quotes or motivational lines isn’t anything new for Cena. The “F9” actor is trying to motivate his 13.2 million followers on Twitter almost every day with tidbits of wisdom or advice.















Warm reception: Fans of the South Korean mega-group, known online as ARMY, expressed their love for the actor and thanked him for his support.









  • Another user even shared a quote of Cena as a sign of respect for the actor.





K-pop fan: Cena has been very forward about his love for the K-pop genre and BTS in particular. In a recent interview with the Television Critics Association, the actor revealed he frequently listened to BTS’ music while filming “The Suicide Squad,” Screenrant reported.

  • The wrestler also once volunteered to be BTS’ bodyguard in a 2018 tweet. He wrote, “I’ve had a little trouble keeping up lately but does @BTS_twt @bts_bighit need a bodyguard? Crazy because I’ve been touring with them for years, they just can’t see me. #GotYourSix.”
