John Abraham gung-ho about newer productions after VICKY DONOR

John Abraham is singing a different tune today. For someone who has managed to find acceptance as an actor a decade after being in the profession, his stint as a producer has been far more effective and quick fire, what with his moderately budgeted VICKY DONOR turning out to be a surprise superhit of the year. With the seven crore film raking in close to 40 crores just from the Indian box office, this all new starcast affair is not just a roaring success commercially but also a critically acclaimed film. Naturally, John now has plans to turn producer with a vengeance.

"I just think that my sense of comfort as a producer is coming along and it has been a natural progression from being an actor to a producer," says John, "I want to create that kind of cinema that lives beyond my life and VICKY DONOR has been a positive step in that direction. Now I am not going to lose steam from this point on. I have no shame in going to any ends to make sure that a good film is indeed made. More so, because I am strictly going as per my belief and faith on the right scripts."

No wonder, there are quite a few films in the pipeline for John as he partially or entirely produces I, ME AUR MAIN, KAALA GHODA, HAMAARA BAJAJ and JAFFNA in months to come.

"Yes, there are good plans to make different films. They would belong to different genres and subjects with either fresh or established cast. The budgets could range from 5 crore to 25 crore but the idea is to spend as much as it is required to make a project viable. In any case the studios that I have interacted with know that I stand for someone who is honest and has his integrity interact. Neither do I want to let them down nor do I would want the same for me. I want to make films that play for years after they have been released, either on satellite or internet," John continues.

Keep the enthusiasm on John.
