Joe Manganiello has reportedly been hospitalised with ‘dangerous appendicitis’, with the star thought to have had ‘extremely serious’ surgery.
The ‘Magic Mike’ actor and wife Sofia Vergara had to cancel their appearance as honorary co-chairs at the Stuart House Benefit in West Hollywood on Sunday as Joe had to remain in hospital.

Sources told TMZ that Joe was taken to hospital late last week to have his appendix removed, but that doctors were ‘alarmed’ when they went in for the operation.
Though details of exactly what happened have not been revealed, a source claims his appendix burst.
Joe and Sofia have remained quiet on social media, with the actor’s last tweet from Sunday reading: “I love my wife”.
A rep for Joe suggests that a ‘chronic condition’ was behind Sunday’s missed appearance, with the event’s host telling Entertainment Tonight that it was due to a ‘health problem’.

Fashion designer and friend of Joe and Sofia, John Varvatos, who hosts the event every year, told ET: “Basically they just couldn’t make it because [Manganiello] is recovering. I don’t know a lot about it other than that he’s had a little bit of a health problem. We wish him the best.
“We thank him for all his support that he’s given us and, most importantly, to get well soon because he’s such a wonderful guy.”
We’re wishing Joe a speedy recovery.
