Job fairs planned at Seven Springs to hire 400 summer workers

Apr. 19—Seven Springs Mountain and Hidden Valley resorts plan to hire 400 full- and part-time seasonal workers. Two summer job fairs have been scheduled to fill the positions at the Somerset County facilities.

Available positions include adventure staff, zipline guides, lifeguards, servers, bartenders, cooks, golf and sporting clays positions and more.

The first job fair will be from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday. A second will be May 15, also from noon to 3 p.m. Both will be in the Seven Springs Resort Conference Center, 777 Waterwheel Drive.

Although many resort summer activities and conferences were severely impacted last year by the pandemic, resort marketing director Alex Moser said both resorts plan to fully open this year.

"We plan on having all adventures open beginning Memorial Day weekend, and we are hiring the same amount of people as we have in 'normal years,' circa 2019," he said.

Interested applicants should be prepared to complete an application and take part in an immediate interview, said Jim Singer, resort human resources manager.

"The community and culture at Seven Springs and Hidden Valley are something you can find nowhere else, and our unique perks set our resorts apart in creating a wonderful place to work," Singer said.

The resort will offer a diverse array of not only employment opportunities but also opportunities to enjoy the outdoor-oriented lifestyle and tight-knit culture of the mountains for its employees, officials said.

Resort workers receive perks that include discounts on resortwide activities, such as outdoor adventures, sporting clays, golf, spa services, swimming and other activities.

Resort officials declined to release a pay range for open positions, only noting they will be "competitive with comparable jobs in the market."

Candidates attending the job fair are encouraged to apply in advance at 7springs.com/employment.

Conditional job offers may be extended at the fair.

Candidates will be required to wear a mask and practice social distancing.

For those unable to attend a job fair, available positions can be viewed on online at 7springs.com/employment or by visiting the human resources department from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.

Applicants also can call 814-352-2012 for more information.
