CLEVELAND (WJW) – Over the next couple months, Cleveland Metropolitan Schools is taking steps to hire more bus drivers for the district.

The school district is hosting a series of recruitment events to expand its “dedicated team of professional bus drivers,” district officials said in a press release. The events started last week.

This comes as many school districts across Northeast Ohio and the country have experienced bus driver shortages since the COVID-19 pandemic.
