Joanna Gaines Makes Over Younger Sister Mary Kay's Waco Home in her 'All Time Favorite' Fixer Upper

Chip and Joanna Gaines are keeping this Fixer Upper in the family.

In Tuesday night’s episode of the HGTV series, the couple takes on their most sentimental project yet: designing a home for Joanna’s sister, Mary Kay McCall (who they call Mikey), her husband and their five kids.

“Chip and I have been doing houses for fifteen years now, and I would say this house is the one I’m most excited about,” Joanna says in the clip above. “I think probably the biggest reason is because my sister and her family are going to be living in it.”

Although the remodel started as a regular flip house project for the TV hosts, Joanna quickly realized it was the perfect spot for her younger sibling and her growing family, who are moving back to Waco, Texas, after nine years away.

“I’m just super giddy about getting to finally get them in. I couldn’t sleep last night,” says Joanna, who also described the makeover as her “all time favorite” in an Instagram post.

As if their sister-sister love wasn’t heartwarming enough, the big reveal turns even sweeter when the Gaineses’ four children —12-year-old Drake (who stole the show himself during a recent episode), Ella 11, Duke, 9, and Emmie Kay, 7 — step in for their parents, pulling the big canvas apart to reveal the new house to their cousins.

“Okay, McCalls, are you ready to see your Fixer Upper?” Ella asks, mimicking her mom’s famous line.
