A Fairport pub got a hat tip on “Today with Hoda & Jenna” this morning.

Jimmy Fallon appeared on the show, hosted by Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hagar, to talk about his 10-year anniversary of hosting NBC’s “Tonight Show” and the new season of “Password,” which premieres on the network at 10 o’clock tonight.

But around the four-minute mark, Fallon steered the interview toward St. Patrick’s Day, saying, “I love it!”

“So,” Bush Hagar asked, “what do you do to celebrate? We know last year you went to Rochester.”

“Yes, I went to my friend’s bar,” he said, referring to Mulconry’s Irish Pub and Restaurant, 17 Liftbridge Lane East, Fairport, while a picture of owner Damien Mulconry and Fallon appeared on the screen.

The two have been friends a long time, since Mulconry moved from Ireland to New York City, where he worked at The Gaf West, a bar Fallon frequented.

“I jumped onstage,” Fallon said of his 2023 visit to Mulconry’s. “I just figured it’d be something fun and silly to do.”

Of course, it was captured on video.

It was hardly the star’s first trip to Mulconry’s, or the Rochester area.

He’s showed up unannounced a number of times over the years and also entertained locals at Iron Smoke Distilling in Fairport.

Asked what he might be up to this St. Patrick’s Day, he told Kotb and Bush Hagar: “I have no real plans. I don’t know what I’m going to do.”
