Jill Harth Speaks Out About Donald Trump Assault

Nearly 20 years after she filed a lawsuit against Donald Trump for attempted rape, Jill Harth is speaking out about her horrifying experience following the release of a 2005 video showing the Republican nominee bragging about kissing and groping women without their consent.

In a New York Times interview published late Friday night, Harth recalled how Trump had assaulted her on multiple occasions over the course of six years, when she and her then-boyfriend had been attempting to forge a business partnership with him.

"He was relentless," she said. "I didn’t know how to handle it."

During one meeting, Harth recalled how Trump had sat next to her during dinner before putting his hand up her skirt and trying to grab her crotch. On another occasion, Harth claimed that Trump was giving her a tour of his estate in Florida when he suddenly pulled her into his daughter Ivanka’s empty bedroom and tried to get her to sleep with him.

“He pushed me up against the wall, and had his hands all over me and tried to get up my dress again,” Harth told The Guardian, “and I had to physically say: ‘What are you doing? Stop it.’ It was a shocking thing to have him do this because he knew I was with [my boyfriend] George, he knew they were in the next room. And how could he be doing this when I’m there for business?”

At the time, Trump was dating Marla Maples, but Harth insisted that this didn’t stop him from constantly attempting to sleep with her on multiple occasions. In fact, the only reason Harth eventually dropped the sexual harassment case against him was because she and her boyfriend had sued Trump for breach of contract, and she was required to drop the charges as a condition in the settlement.

Since Harth spoke out about her experience with Trump for the first time earlier this year, he has stated that there is no truth to her claims. However, since the controversial video of him bragging about groping women "by the pussy" was released on Friday, Harth told the New York Daily News that she finally feels "vindicated."

"I just couldn’t believe it,” she said. “This is proof. No one can say they don’t believe me anymore.”
