Jigsaw-themed escape room to trap Saw fans at New York Comic Con

Some people never want to leave New York Comic Con — and the folks behind the new Saw movie Jigsaw want to make it that much harder to do so.

EW can exclusively reveal that Lionsgate is bringing a Jigsaw-themed escape room to this year’s convention, which takes place at Manhattan’s Javits Center from Oct. 5-8. The escape room is called Jigsaw: Survive the Trap and combines Virtuality Reality scares with that are being described as “real-world traps.” Participating teams must work together to escape before time runs out.

Jigsaw: Survive the Trap will be located directly in front of the Javits Center, within the convention gates, and will be open during NYCC hours. Comic Con badge holders will wait in designated lines to go through in pairs. Fans who complete the escape room will get movie swag, including an exclusive IMAX poster and a free ticket to see the Jigsaw in theaters. More prizes will be given away throughout the convention

Jigsaw opens in cinemas Oct. 27 and will released in IMAX theaters for a week. Exclusively see the film’s IMAX poster, which was designed by Taz, below and the movie’s trailer, above.
