While sharks typically aren't harmful toward humans, close encounters can get a tad intimidating.

Such was the case for Jonah Cooper of Noosa, Australia, who came across a 4.5 meter- (close to 15 feet) long tiger shark while cruising on his jet ski. Well aware that folks named "Jonah" have a poor history with sea animals, Cooper quickly noted that the shark was bigger than his jet ski by a full meter (about 3 feet).

Ultimately, it was peaceful, and Cooper noticed that the poor thing was stuck on a drum line, which he reported to authorities.
