Jesus did not finish the New York City Marathon
It appears Jesus couldn't finish the New York City Marathon.
According to organizers, Makoto Takeuchi — who caused quite a stir dressed as the Son of God at Sunday's marathon — did not finish the race.
According to the runner-tracking app on the New York Road Runners website, Takeuchi, from Chiba, Japan, completed 10 of the marathon's 26.2 miles.
Jogging Jesus hit the 10-mile marker at 1:49:25, or a pace of just under 11 minutes per mile. (Not bad, considering he was barefoot and carrying a large cross strapped on his back.)
But one Twitter user sent photos to Yahoo News showing Takeuchi being questioned by a pair of NYPD officers in Williamsburg.

A spokesman for the NYPD told Yahoo News that it had no record of an arrest for Takeuchi.
