Jerry and George spotted walking into Tom's Restaurant

For millions of television viewers, it was a familiar scene: Jerry and George getting coffee on "Seinfeld." And for some people on the Upper West Side Monday, life imitated television, when Jerry Seinfeld and Jason Alexander, the actor who played "George," walked into Tom's Restaurant, the setting of the fictional Monk's Cafe on the popular sitcom.

According to Ali Phil, a Brooklynite who spotted the pair walking down Broadway on her way to work, there were camera crews filming Seinfeld and Alexander, who was dressed in very Costanza-like attire.

But those hoping for a "Seinfeld" reunion episode will most likely be disappointed. The coffee date was likely being documented for a future episode of "Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee," Jerry Seinfeld's Web reality series, now in its third season.

Previous episodes have featured former "Seinfeld" stars Michael Richards and Larry David, the show's co-creator, as well as Seinfeld's other famous comedian friends.

Last week, Seinfeld teased fans during an online chat on Reddit.com, revealing that he and David are working on a secret project.

"We wrote this script for this thing that you will eventually see but I can't reveal what it is at this time," Seinfeld wrote. "All I can do is tell you is that it's big, huge, gigantic."

According to Showbiz 411, it's likely a Broadway play.
