If your neighbors screamed out, “Who is Walt Disney?” at about 7:25 p.m. Monday night, there’s a good reason. And that response in the final Jeopardy” round made Orlando’s Robbi Ramirez a champion.

Ramirez, identified on the show as a writer from Orlando, had a large but not insurmountable lead on the scoreboard going into the final question.

The category: Famous Names.

The clue, as read by host Ken Jennings: “In 1966, the year of his death, he shared plans for an experimental prototype community in Florida.”

Ramirez looked calm even as Jennings revealed the other contestants’ answers. The host eventually explained that the plan became Epcot and threw in a “tomorrow” reference that was not in the clue.

Finally, all responses were revealed, and Ramirez was declared the champion with $23,800 in winnings. Then he exhaled and smiled.

“He’s the winner,” Jennings said. “Maybe he’s going to Disney World.”

Ramirez’s Facebook page says he attended Orlando Christian Prep and is a 2011 graduate of UCF. His profile picture appears to be from the “Jeopardy!” experience.

Although non-Orlandoans might cry it was an unfair advantage, all three of Monday’s contestants wrote “Who is Walt Disney?” — even the defending champion from Washington, D.C., and the physics teacher from New Jersey.

UPDATE: Ramirez’s “Jeopardy” run ended with a loss in Tuesday’s episode of the syndicated game show. The Final Jeopardy category was a decidedly non-theme park topic: Nobel Prize Winners. None of the three contestants wrote down the right response. (Central Florida viewers’ experience was interrupted as the final segment of the show, starting with the reveal of the clue, was not shown on WFTV-Channel 9. Instead, an episode of “Wheel of Fortune” began. Full episodes of “Jeopardy,” including what aired, can be seen on YouTube and other online sources.)
