Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez Win Best Dressed Couple at the VMAs
Jennifer Lopez wears a silver Versace dress and brings Alex Rodriguez for her historic night.
Tonight is Jennifer Lopez’s VMAs. She’s accepting the MTV Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, a monumental honor given to the likes of Madonna, Beyoncé, and Janet Jackson. And she dressed to celebrate success—and brought along her beau, Alex Rodriguez, as well. Lopez showed up to the red carpet in a curve-hugging silver chainmail dress by Versace. (She had hinted to Vogue.com a few weeks ago that she would indeed be wearing a design by her longtime friend Donatella Versace.) Similar pieces had appeared in the finale of the designer’s Spring 2018 Gianni Versace tribute collection, but Lopez’s dress appeared to be custom-made for the star. It was bedazzled with strips of crystals, along the waist and meeting at the top of a high-slit, making for a major J.Lo leg moment.
As for Rodriguez? Lopez’s boyfriend sported a dapper burgundy suit jacket with black lapels and black trousers. Sure, maybe the two weren’t matching like they typically do, but the electric chemistry was indeed there—and it definitely looked good.

The layoffs were announced to staff just a week before Tesla is scheduled to report its first-quarter earnings. The move comes as Tesla has seen its profit margin narrow over the past several quarters, the result of an EV price war that has persisted for at least a year.
