Jennifer Lawrence has split up with Darren Aronofsky
Jennifer Lawrence has split up with mother! director Darren Aronofsky after dating for a year.
ET reports that the break-up was amicable and the pair remain friends, with the split said to have happened last month, even though the pair were spotted together at last week's Governors Awards in LA.
They have been dating since Lawrence worked on Aronofsky's controversial movie mother! which follows a married couple (Lawrence and Javier Bardem) who are surprised at their home by another couple, played by Ed Harris and Michelle Pfeiffer.
This week, Lawrence had only just opened up on how her relationship with Aronofsky began, saying that she'd had a "crush on him" since he pitched mother! to her.
"That was like a year before we started rehearsing, but he was a professional, which only made it worse for me. We just kind of formed a friendship. He knew how I felt. He never told me how he felt. I mean, I assumed," she explained to The Hollywood Reporter.
"We just formed a friendship and then the friendship turned into a partnership for the movie, once we started working. And then once the movie was done, I was like, 'All right! You're my boyfriend'."
Lawrence has also recently spoken about how the nude photo hack in 2014 made her feel like she "got gang-banged by the f**king planet".
