Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux’s Dog Eats Their Valentine’s Day Flowers
Valentine’s Day is not everyone’s favorite holiday — like Sophie, for example, the lucky pup owned by Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux.
On Wednesday night, Sophie apparently went postal on an arrangement of gorgeous white flowers (well, they used to be gorgeous). Theroux posted a photo of the evidence of the attack on Instagram, along with a “message” from Sophie. “Happy day-after-Valentine’s Day, a**hole.’ —Sophie,” the explanation read. He then added, “Right after being a total a**hole. #itsnotmeitsyou.”
To be fair, in the pic, the pooch does look pretty remorseful as she sits beside the murdered floral arrangement. It would be hard to stay mad at that face for long.
Fortunately, flowers aren’t the only romantic gesture Theroux has made in recent days toward his wife. On Sunday, he took to social media to share a sweet birthday message beside a selfie featuring the two of them snuggled close. In the image, Aniston blows a kiss to the camera, her wedding band (from their clandestine 2015 ceremony) in full view. “HBDJ❤ XO,” the Leftovers star wrote beside the sweet snap. So, it wasn’t the most effusive birthday tribute we’ve ever seen, but it got the point across.

The lovebirds celebrated Aniston’s 48th birthday in one of her favorite vacation spots: Cabo San Lucas. Aniston’s bestie, Courteney Cox, and her beau, Johnny McDaid, (they’re back together, just FYI) were also along for the festivities, which kicked off on a private jet from Los Angeles to Mexico. As you do. “With the nonstop L.A. rain storms, Jen was very happy to celebrate her birthday in the sun,” a source said of the vacay. “She is renting an oceanfront villa. She loves Cabo and hasn’t been in a while. She was excited about the getaway.”

Aniston and 45-year-old Theroux made the most of that sunshine, lounging around in bathing suits and showing off their insane beach bodies. In other words, the flowers were probably more of an afterthought than the main event on the celebration front, but hopefully Sophie learned her lesson. Then again, if Theroux learned his lesson — to keep delicious floral arrangements out of the reach of a curious dog — that would work too.
