Jennifer Aniston Admits She ‘Can’t Help’ Watching Friends Reruns – Even If She Hated Its Theme Song

Even Jennifer Aniston loves a good Friends rerun!

It’s been 12 years since the hit NBC series went off the air, but the 47-year-old star admitted that she still stops the dial on reruns now and then.

“Yeah — I can’t help it,” she revealed on BBC’s The One Show on Monday night. “First, I’m trying to remember which episode it is. And then half the time I’m saying to myself, ‘I don’t remember that.’ ”

“You get sucked into the nostalgia of it,” she added.

Though Aniston may tune in for reruns, there’s one part of each episode she’s probably not excited to see: the opening credits!

That’s because she and castmates Courteney Cox, Matthew Perry, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, and Matt LeBlanc all apparently hated the show’s theme.

“No one was really a big fan of that theme song,” Aniston dished of The Rembrants theme, “I’ll Be There for You.”

“We felt it was a little — I dunno — dancing in a fountain felt sort of odd,” she said. “But we did it! We were told to!”

These days, Aniston has traded in the small screen for a successful career on the big screen. Her latest film, Office Christmas Party, opens Dec. 9.

Moving forward, Aniston said she wants to dip her toe into directing.

“I think it’s more about being in front of the camera for so many years and you start to just realize you’ve collected so much information and knowledge about it and how much fun that would be to step out from in front of the camera and go behind,” she said.
