It’s been 10 years since the movie Step Up danced its way into our lives. We all likely have our reasons why the movie meant so much to us (Channing Tatum, for starters).

But the movie meant the most to Jenna Dewan Tatum. Because duh.

We had to. #stepup10years

Not only was playing Nora Clark a breakout role for Jenna (and proved that she’s one hell of a dancer), but the set of the movie is also where she met her future husband.

Of course, that future husband was Channing.

As all parents do, Jenna and Channing want their 3-year-old daughter Everly to know the story of where she came from. Except, instead of just explaining it to her with words, they can physically pop in a DVD (is popping in a DVD still a thing?) of Step Up, and boom. She’ll see it all go down.

We keep saying we are going to force feed Step Up to Everly,” Jenna told Women’s Wear Daily. “Like, ‘You have to watch. You have to see where you came from.’

So. Cute.

Everly seems to be following in her super talented parents’ footsteps. She takes dance classes, and Jenna said she already has some killer moves.

She’s a very free-spirited little kid,” she said. “She likes to run around and do her own thing. But she loves a tutu and she will put on three or four and go around the house and do little shake moves.”

Something tells us one day there might be a Step Up 7: The Next Generation, Literally.
