DENVER (KDVR) — Comic and ventriloquist Jeff Dunham is coming to Colorado next week for a few shows in Denver and Colorado Springs.

Dunham sat down to talk and joke with FOX31’s morning show on Thursday. He said while he has been to Denver many times, he is looking forward to having two shows in a theater setting rather than one big show in an arena.

Jeff Dunham is a comedian and ventriloquist who uses puppet character shows to make jokes. The comedy act typically includes back-and-forth banter between Dunham and his puppets.

Dunham recently wrapped up his Valentine’s special tour and will perform his regular show in Denver with characters Peanut, Walter, Jose “Jalapeno on a Stick” and Bubba Jay.

Dunham’s elderly puppet Walter said the thing he is most proud of about the show coming to Denver is that it has “no social redeeming value whatsoever.” Dunham added that show attendees won’t likely learn anything from the show, and warns that it may not always be “politically correct.”

“It’s a fun show because if there’s any jokes or any topics that are not OK to talk about, we can at least get into them because it’s a point and counterpoint,” he said.

He said he likes Denver, but noted that it is harder to exercise in the Mile High City.

“He’s a wimp when there’s no oxygen,” Dunham said via Walter.

Dunham’s Still Not Canceled 2024 tour stops in Colorado Springs on March 7 at Broadmoor World Arena before two shows in Denver on March 8 and 9 at Bellco Theatre.
