Jedward have claimed that Piers Morgan has blocked them on Twitter after they urged Britain’s Got Talent not to re-hire him.

Twins John and Edward Grimes had a pop at Morgan following rumours he could return to BGT after his exit from Good Morning Britain, calling him “judgmental” and slating him for previously criticising Little Mix.

They later updated fans by sharing a screenshot on Twitter saying that Morgan had now blocked them.

“Confirmation @PiersMorgan is threatened and a coward! You can’t block free speech! No Justice No Peace,” Jedward wrote.

Earlier this week, Jedward - who found fame on Simon Cowell’s show The X Factor in 2009 - had a rant about how music executives treat their artists, with Cowell among those coming under fire.

They took a side swipe at Morgan as rumours have been swirling about him possibly returning to Britain’s Got Talent, which he used to be a judge on.

Sharing a photo of Little Mix, the singers posted: “Simon is considering Piers Morgan for judge on BGT after the s*** he said about Little Mix over this iconic photo!

They also urged Cowell and BGT not to be “back stabbers hiring Piers Morgan”.

Morgan sparked controversy in 2018 when he suggested that Little Mix were using nudity to sell their album.

The girl group posed naked, with vile insults written all over them to show some of the verbal abuse they had received.

Morgan spoke out about it at the time, questioning whether it was actually empowering and suggesting the singers were “stripping off to sell albums”.
