Jason Momoa talks 'stalking' wife Lisa Bonet after first noticing her when he was 8 years old
They secretly tied the knot last month after 12 years together – but Jason Momoa has had his eye on Lisa Bonet for a lot longer than that.
The 38-year-old actor claims he first noticed his 49-year-old wife when he was eight years old and saw her star on TV sitcom The Cosby Show, in which she portrayed Denise Huxtable in the 1980s.
Former Game of Thrones star Jason joked he then planned to “stalk” her for the rest of his life.
Speaking on The Late Late Show with James Corden on Thursday, he quipped: “I was eight years old and I saw her on the TV and I was like, ‘Mommy, I want that one.’
“I was like, ‘I’m going to stalk you for the rest of my life, and I’m going to get you.’ I’m a full-fledged stalker.”
But Jason – who plays Aquaman in new movie Justice League – kept his young love for Lisa a secret until they had kids, daughter Lola, 10, and eight-year-old son Nakoa-Wolf, because he thought it sound “creepy and weird”.
He said: “I didn’t tell her that until we had two babies otherwise it would have been creepy and weird.
“I’ve always wanted to meet her. She was the queen always.”
Jason first came face-to-face with Lisa at a party and he was so excited he felt as though “fireworks” were going off inside of him.

He added: “I literally turn around, I’m with my best friend, and I see her and she goes, ‘Hi, I’m Lisa.’ And I turn around to my friend and I’m like, ‘Ah!’ F***ing fireworks going off inside me.’
“I convinced her to take me home because I was living in a hotel … We sat down and she ordered a Guinness, and that was it.
“She ordered a Guinness and I had grits. We had Guinness and grits and the rest was history.”
Jason and Lisa were thought to have married in November 2007 but a recent report suggested they didn’t tie the knot until last month at their Californian home.
An insider told Us Weekly magazine: “Jason Momoa and Lisa Bonet had an official wedding a few weeks ago at their house in Topanga, California.
“Apparently they weren’t officially married until then! They said they ‘made it official.’ ”
