James, Rose jerseys are best-sellers

When the NBA announced its top-selling jerseys worldwide for last season, the player occupying the No. 1 was no surprise: Miami Heat star LeBron James.

The No. 2 spot was a surprise, though. Chicago Bulls guard Derrick Rose trailed only James despite sitting out the entire 2012-13 season due to a knee injury.

Rounding out the top 10, according to sales figures from adidas, were Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant, Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kevin Durant, Heat guard Dwyane Wade, New York Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony, then-Lakers center Dwight Howard, Brooklyn Nets guard Deron Williams, Los Angeles Clippers forward Blake Griffin and Boston Celtics guard Rajon Rondo.

Rondo missed the majority of last season following knee surgery.

The NBA also broke down the sales figures for countries and regions. James was the best-seller in the United States and the Philippines. Rose was No. 1 in Latin America, China and Europe.

James won his second consecutive MVP award last season, then led the Heat to a second consecutive championship.
