James Franco Hosts 'SNL': See Seth Rogen, Jonah Hill and Steve Martin's Hilarious Cameos!
James Franco can always count on a little help from his friends.
The 39-year-old actor hosted Saturday Night Live for the fourth time, and his close friends, Seth Rogen and Jonah Hill, made an appearance during his opening monologue. Franco took questions from the audience, which is when Rogen joked from his seat that he came to see SNL, but didn't know Franco was hosting it.
"Luckily, I'm a huge Sza fan, so it worked out," he joked, referring to the night's musical guest.
Hill later appeared, and also poked fun at Franco.
"Sorry I'm late, did I miss Sza?" he cracked.
But the most surprising cameo came when Steve Martin also appeared in the audience, complaining that he wasn't "hot" anymore.
Franco showed off his comedy chops during the episode, including in a sketch called "Spelling Bee," in which he played a moderator with some serious issues.
Another memorable sketch was "Gift Wrap," a gross-out sketch that had Franco playing a shopping center gift wrapper who couldn't stop bleeding profusely.
Franco also tackled the sexual harassment scandal currently rocking Hollywood, with a sketch called "Sexual Harassment Charlie."
ET spoke to Franco last month, when he revealed how he convinced his younger brother, Dave Franco, to co-star with him in his latest film, The Disaster Artist.
