‘Jam-packed weekend’ to bring thousands of people to downtown Tampa
TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — It’s going to be a busy weekend for downtown Tampa as the city prepares for a series of carnivals, concerts, and other live events.
The city of Tampa warned drivers in the downtown area that there would be congestion, detours, and limited parking as people flock to downtown for the various events.

“We encourage everyone to arrive early to their event and consider using alternative transportation options to get around,” the city said in a release. “Those options include the Free TECO Streetcar, DASH rides, HART buses, rentable eScooters, and bikes.”
