The Jaguars have signed second-round DE Andre Branch to a contract, the team announced Tuesday. The 38th overall selection in the draft, Branch is the first of the team’s six draft picks to sign.

Branch started 27 games in four years at Clemson, recording 17½ sacks and 33½ tackles for loss. He led the Atlantic Coast Conference in sacks as a senior with 10½ and posted a career-best 85 tackles.

Branch may be paired with fellow DE Jeremy Mincey to boost the Jaguars’ pass rush. Mincey led the team with eight sacks last season.
