The 20-year-old singer and rapper shocked fans with the revelation, during his set at Tyler’s Camp Flog Gnaw in LA this weekend.
In a video that emerged online, Smith told the crowd: “I just want to say, Tyler The Creator is the best friend in the world and I love him so f****** much.
“Tyler doesn’t want to say, but Tyler’s my mother f****** boyfriend and he’s been my mother f****** boyfriend my whole f****** life!”

Screaming to a crowd of 50,000 people, he concluded: “Tyler The Creator is my f****** boyfriend, if you take anything away from this f****** show, that’s what you take away!”
However 27-year-old Tyler The Creator, real name Tyler Okonma, appeared to disagree as he could be seen shaking his head “no” in the clip.
The video ends with him walking away clearly caught off-guard.
Smith later took to Twitter to reaffirm: “Yup @tylerthecreator I Told Everyone You Can’t Deny It Now.” [Sic]

Fans of the actor were left confused over the declaration, with many questioning if the announcement was a joke.
One user wrote: “I think it’s a joke but either way it’s chill.”
Another commented: “Why is it that I have no doubts about this?”
A third added: “Are you trolling?"
On controversial song Fall Eminem, real name Marshall Bruce Mathers III, rapped: “Tyler create nothing, I see why you called yourself a f***** b****. It’s not just ‘cause you lack attention.
“It’s because you worship D12’s balls, you’re sacrilegious. If you’re gonna critique me, you better at least be as good or better.”
