Jackson Odell’s 6 Most Memorable Moments on Video, From ‘Modern Family’ to YouTube

Fans are grieving the loss of Jackson Odell, a 20-year-old actor best-known for his part on”The Goldbergs,” after news of his passing broke Sunday.

The young star — who was found unresponsive at a residence in the San Fernando Valley on Friday, a Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office spokesperson told TheWrap — played Ari Caldwell on eight episodes of the ABC sitcom from 2013-2015.

He counted appearances on “Modern Family,” “Private Practice,” “iCarly,” “Arrested Development” and “The Fosters” among his other small screen credits and in the 2011 movie “Judy Moody and the Not Bummer Summer” with actress Heather Graham.

But Odell didn’t just work in scripted content, taking to YouTube often to share his musical talents with fans. Click through the gallery here to see videos the singer-songwriter shared, including a very impressive throwback clip of him playing “Great Balls of Fire” on the piano at just six years old, not to mention a moving cover of Rihanna’s “Stay.”

“The Odell family has lost our beloved son and brother, Jackson Odell,” the family said in a statement emailed to TheWrap. “He will always be a shining light and a brilliant, loving and talented soul. He had so much more to share. Our family will always carry that truth forward. Our wish is that the rest of the world does as well. We are now going to try to make sense of our immeasurable loss privately.”

Odell’s cause of death has yet to be determined and is pending autopsy.
