28 May - Jackie Chan, David Tao, and Luhan are among the stars who have participated in recording the theme song for Beijing's bid for hosting the 2022 Winter Olympics.

As reported on CRI News, Jackie, who has also joined the officials in Beijing to launch the Olympic Music Week, recorded a song called "Wake Up Winter" as a support for the campaign.

"It's an honour for me to participate in this and do something for the bid. I will do what I can to help, if there is anything," said the actor.

This is not the first time Jackie was involved in recording theme songs for a sports event. Back in 2008, he was also involved in performing his song "We Are Ready" at the closing ceremony of the Beijing Olympics.

Meanwhile, Taiwanese singer-songwriter David Tao, and Luhan, the estranged member of the popular K-pop band EXO, teamed up to record a song entitled "Please Go to the Great Wall for Skiing".

Written by Chen Daobin and composed by Li Kaichou, David further turned the music into a modern electronic sound.

Beijing is trying to be the first city to host both the Winter and Summer Olympics. The city's bid is up against Almaty, Kazakhstan. The winning bid will be voted by IOC members at the end of July in Malaysia.
