Jackets' Anisimov out of hospital after scary hit

Blue Jackets forward Artem Anisimov was released from a Detroit hospital on Friday and headed back to Columbus after a frightening tumble on the ice.

Anisimov and Red Wings defenseman Ian White became entangled during the Blue Jackets' 3-2 win on Thursday night and the elbow of Detroit's Kyle Quincey came down on Anisimov's head after he had fallen.

The 24-year-old Anisimov remained conscious and alert while he was taken off the ice on a backboard. He was kept overnight in Detroit Medical Center as a precautionary measure.

The Blue Jackets said Anisimov, who has four goals and six points in 15 games this season, is listed day to day with an upper-body ailment.
