LOS ANGELES — Memphis Grizzlies all-star Ja Morant and veteran Dillon Brooks declined to speak to the media after a 117-111 Game 4 overtime loss to the Los Angeles Lakers.

Brooks and Morant have been two of the leaders for the Grizzlies this season. Both players spoke as recently as Sunday before Game 4, but this was the second straight game Brooks didn't speak with reporters.

"I'm out," Brooks told reporters while passing by in the hallway Monday. Morant declined to comment when asked if he was doing media after the Grizzlies fell to 3-1 in the seven-game NBA playoff series.

The NBA can fine players for refusing to speak to media, often for repeated offenses.

Morant and Brooks also declined to speak with media earlier this season after a Jan. 25 loss against the Golden State Warriors.

Brooks finished with 11 points on 4-for-11 shooting. His most notable moment came when he was guarding LeBron James one-on-one in overtime and the Lakers star drove to the left, drew a foul on Brooks and made a contested layup to make it a two-possession game with 29.4 seconds remaining.

Morant scored 19 points and had eight assists while shooting 8-for-24 from the field.
