LONDON — At the time of writing, Donald Trump's Twitter rant about Meryl Streep has a combined total of over 31,000 retweets.

But Meryl Streep has plenty of allies, too.

Earlier this morning Lena Heady (a.k.a. Queen Cersei from Game of Thrones) made her support of the Hollywood actor clear, and now Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling has waded in too.

It started when Rowling shared the following tweet from writer Aaron Gillies, and added her own addendum.

After someone responded to say that Trump could well turn his "overrated" insults on her next, Rowling dropped the mic.

Of course, this isn't the first time she's gone after Trump on Twitter (you can find a selection of her most epic burns right here).
