J.K. Rowling pokes fun at President Trump and Yahoo commenters react to the shade

“He might not know how to spell or form proper sentences, but he sure knows how to PUSH BUTTONS!” “‘Harry Potter’ isn't exactly ‘The Great Gatsby’.” Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling poked fun at President Trump after he sent out a grammatically incorrect tweet about his own writing prowess. The tweet in question, which has since been deleted, read, “After having written many best selling books, and somewhat priding myself on my ability to write, it should be noted that the Fake News constantly likes to pour over my tweets looking for a mistake. I capitalize certain words for emphasis, not b/c they should be capitalized!” The message had Rowling rolling on the floor with laughter over the president’s use of “pour over,” which means to send flowing or falling, instead of “pore over,” which means to study carefully. Fans of the president came to his defense, leaving their thoughts on Rowling’s original Twitter thread and in the comments on Yahoo's original story. Several readers told the popular author to keep out of politics, with one writing, "wish she would stick to writing books and not politics. I don't care what she thinks." Other commenters got a kick out of Rowling’s roast. “Trump has difficulty reading anything longer than 140 characters, let alone writing a book, one reader wrote. Another chimed in with: “I love the President but even I laugh when I read his tweets.” What do you think? Let us know in the comments.
