VILLAGE OF SUMMIT - J.J. Watt, Pewaukee's now-retired NFL football star, has tackled another post-retirement decision: the sale of his 3,670-square-foot, country-style log cabin home in Waukesha County.

According to Wisconsin Department of Revenue records, the 36-acre property at 37984 Delafield Road, in the village of Summit, sold for $1.85 million on Feb. 22 to the Todd MW and Courtney A Turall Revocable Trust.

Watt, who according to state records technically sold the property under his Justin J. Watt Revocable Trust in Paradise Valley, Arizona, bought the four-bedroom, three-bathroom Summit home in 2015 for $800,000. In 2022, it had a estimated market value of $1.25 million, Waukesha County tax records indicated.

The Pewaukee native, who played football for Pewaukee High School and the University of Wisconsin, announced his retirement in late December and played his final game for the Arizona Cardinals in January after 12 seasons in the league. J.J. Watt was drafted with the 11th pick of the 2011 NFL Draft by the Houston Texans, with whom he played for first 10 seasons.

Watt was a three-time NFL defensive player of the year and a five-time All-Pro selection, and is considered to be a likely Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee when he becomes eligible in 2028. He resides with his wife, professional soccer player Kealia Ohai, in Arizona. Their son, Koa James Watt, was born Oct. 23, 2022.
