‘iZombie’ Season 3, Episode 10 Trailer Reveals Drake’s Return
Greg Finley is reprising his role as Drake Holloway in next week’s Season 3, episode 10 of “iZombie.” But because Drake died in Season 2 finale, the late undercover cop isn’t returning to the CW series in the flesh.
In the trailer for the upcoming episode, Liv (Rose McIver) starts seeing the “ghost” of her late ex-boyfriend, Drake, while seemingly playing BDSM with her best friend, Peyton (Aly Michalka). “You must be freaked out,” Liv tells Peyton.
“Oh, watching my zombie roommate talk to a ghost? That’s what I call Tuesday,” replies the assistant district attorney.

Much to Liv’s annoyance, Drake’s ghost continues to appear before her even while in bed with her new boyfriend, Justin (Tongayi Chirisa).
“What’s happening here?” Justin curiously asks.
“It’s my deceased ex-boyfriend … showing up,” an irritated Liv answers.
Drake made his first appearance in Season 2, episode 9, where he got shot after Don E. (Bryce Hodgson) inadvertently told someone that Drake might know something about Utopium. Don E. then brought a wounded Drake to Blaine at Shady Plots and later took him to Liv at the morgue, forcing her to save him by turning him into a zombie. Drake and Liv grew close to each other after that incident and eventually became boyfriend and girlfriend.
Their relationship, however, went south after Liv found out that Drake was working for Mr. Boss (Eddie Jemison). But towards the end of the season, Liv found out that Drake was actually an undercover cop trying to get enough dirt on Mr. Boss to take him out. Unfortunately for Liv, she ended up killing Drake herself in the season finale after he had gone full Romero at Max Rager’s secret laboratory.
In an Instagram post confirming his return to “iZombie,” Finley wrote that viewers will see a different kind of Drake in next week’s episode.
Also in the upcoming episode, as revealed in the synopsis for the hour, Ravi (Rahul Kohli) is terrified when the zombie truth hunters’ plans are revealed. Elsewhere, Major (Robert Buckley) finds comfort in an unexpected — and perhaps unwelcome — friend.
“iZombie” Season 3, episode 10, titled “Return of the Dead Guy,” airs on Tuesday, June 6 at 9 p.m. EDT on The CW.
