The people of Yemen are currently facing the greatest health care crisis in modern history, and chances are you’ve never heard of it. For over two years, Yemen has been embroiled in a civil war that has devastated all facets of public life. With less than half of hospitals operational, and less than a third of needed medicines reaching the country, humanitarian organizations cannot meet the needs of Yemen’s sick. Yahoo News spoke with members of the International Committee of the Red Cross and Doctors Without Borders about the challenges they face on the ground.
