Ivanka Trump Makes Her First Foreign Trip
Just shy of a month since becoming a federal employee, Ivanka Trump is officially set to make her first foreign trip to the W20 Summit in Germany on Tuesday.
According to ABC, the first daughter will be welcomed to the Berlin event "as one of the closest, most trusted advisers to the president of the United States," Donald Trump. She was personally invited by German Chancellor Angela Merkel, and while there, will take part in a panel on women's entrepreneurship alongside Merkel, Queen Máxima of the Netherlands, IMF's Managing Director Christine Lagarde, Canadian Minister of Foreign Affairs Chrystia Freeland, Bank of America's Vice Chairwoman Anne Finucane, BRCK's Juliana Roth, and Trumpf GmbH + Co. KG President Nicola Leibinger-Kammüller.
Multiple sources report that Merkel invited Trump to the event after her visit to the White House last month, where she participated in a roundtable hosted by the president's daughter on Vocational Education and Workforce Development.
Along with her participation in the G20 Summit, Trump also plans to visit a technical college, the U.S. embassy, and the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe during her stay. She will finish off her day by attending a gala dinner.
