Ivanka Trump and Chelsea Clinton Defend Malia Obama's Right to Privacy
Ivanka Trump and Chelsea Clinton are condemning coverage that focuses on Malia Obama‘s private life.
Trump and Clinton spoke out on Twitter in defense of the 19-year-old’s right to privacy as she navigates life as a freshman at Harvard University.
“Malia Obama should be allowed the same privacy as her school aged peers,” Trump, 36, tweeted on Friday. “She is a young adult and pivate citizen, and should be OFF limits.”

On Friday, 37-year-old Clinton tweeted: “Malia Obama’s private life, as a young woman, a college student, a private citizen, should not be your clickbait. Be better.”
Rapper and actor Common also joined the long list of tweeters condemning the invasive reports, simply writing, “Let Malia live.”
Obama, the daughter of 44th commander-in-chief Barack and former First Lady Michelle, moved into her campus residence at Harvard University in August.
During a September event, Michelle said her daughters sometimes struggle with handling fame.
Michelle said then that it’s particularly difficult for Obama to deal with 20 to 30 people each day coming up to her and saying, “Do I know you?” or “Can I get a picture with you?”
She added that her teen daughter needs patience and privacy.
