After the vote rigging, show fixing, and suspicious backpack claims, viewers of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here reckon there’s more foul play at work.

The latest conspiracy theory doing the rounds on social media is that Declan Donnelly and Holly Willoughby are recording their links on a green screen, and they’re not there in the jungle at all.

Twitter has been awash with the claims, following one particular link last night.

Some tried to reason with them, however.

In response, ITV has told Digital Spy that the claims are ‘absolute nonsense’. But then, they WOULD say that, wouldn’t they…

It’s only the latest theory to have emerged this series, with some fans of the show convincing themselves that something fishy is going on.

First they spotted Noel Edmonds was holding his bag prior to his name being read out as the first celebrity to be booted off the show last week.

Then it was Hollyoaks actor Malique Thompson-Dwyer, who had his backpack and coat ready before his name was read out beside the campfire too.

And then yesterday, Corrie star Sair Khan came in for scrutiny for appearing to have had her hair and make-up done ready for the post-show interview, despite having had her hair up all day.

Even Dec weighed in on this one, replying to Holly’s question ‘who will be leaving next?’ with the quip: “Well if the conspiracy theories are anything to go by, whoever has their backpack on.”

He added on Twitter:

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here returns tonight at 9pm.
