James Martin has split from his girlfriend of 12 years Louise Davies.

Saturday Kitchen star James began dating TV producer Louise in 2011 after the pair met on the set of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?.

A spokesperson for James confirmed the news to Mail Online that the couple split in December 2023, but remain friends.

Despite dating for more than a decade, James previously revealed why marriage was not something he was interested in "in the slightest".

He told The Sunday People's TV magazine: "It doesn't interest me in the slightest, mainly because I've catered for so many weddings, really.

"I admire people who do it, that's fine, but I'm quite happy. I don't need to spend 60 grand on a day, no, I'm more than happy thanks."

He added that children were also off the table, telling the publication: "My mates come round to my house and they look into my garage and I go: 'These are my babies, these are my things,' but you know, it's each to their own, isn't it?"

Before dating Louise, James was in a relationship with James Bond producer Barbara Broccoli for four and a half years.

The couple split in 2008, with James citing the pair's 12-year age gap as a contributing factor. He wrote in his memoir: "Looking back, the days that really stand out for me are those when it was just the two of us. We would switch off our mobile phones and it would be our time. The age gap didn't help matters in public. When we went to functions I felt uncomfortable when people looked at me, this nobody, and probably thought, 'He's with her for the money'."

He continued: "But I never wanted anything from Barbara. Maybe it's male pride but there were certain places I refused to go unless I paid. When I said I hated us being apart, she said: 'Why don't you give it all up, then? I'll look after you.' That was the last thing I wanted. To be given a cheque every week? No thanks. I wanted to work."

It comes after James confirmed his future with ITV and the rnewal of his Saturday cooking show after he was accused of "bullying" and exhibiting "intimidating" behaviour towards his crew.

Apologising over the claims, Martin's production company Blue Marlin said in a statement: "An unfortunate incident occurred after filming James Martin's Saturday Morning in 2018 where James' home was badly damaged. Blue Marlin Television accepted responsibility. James was shocked by what had happened and on reflection acknowledges he
responded emotionally, which he wholly regrets. James apologises for any offence
or upset caused, as he did at the time to the crew involved."
