ITV's News at Ten was forced off the air on Wednesday night (January 3) when a fire alarm went off halfway through the actual broadcast and the building had to be evacuated.

The nightly news became the news itself as loads of people took to social media to wonder what the hell was going on. Forunately, it was later found to be a false alarm and nobody was hurt.

Ironically, the alarm actually sounded during a report on US President Donald Trump's tweet that he has a "much bigger" nuclear button than North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.

Still, newsreader Tom Bradby seemed to handle the situation nice and calmly as he told viewers: "OK, as you can probably tell we have a fire alarm.

"We're not quite sure what to do about it, but we think we're going to have to evacuate.

"Unfortunately these things happen and we have no choice. We'll try and bring you the rest of the news if we can."

The News at Ten was then halted and a message apologising for the disruption appeared on screen.
