Israeli and US Flags Burned in Pakistan Protests Over Trump Jerusalem Decision

Protesters in Pakistan on December 7 joined widespread condemnation in Arab and Muslim countries of US President Donald Trump’s decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

US and Israeli flags were burned in this protest, in the northwestern city of Peshawar.

RFE said the protest was joined by supporters of the radical religious group Jamaat-ud-Dawa. The organization has been banned in Pakistan, and has been designated as a “terrorist group” by the US State Department, RFE said. Credit: Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty via Storyful
