UPDATE: Tuscola man arrested for child pornography after home police search

Update at 5:20 p.m.

TUSCOLA, Ill. (WCIA) — After a heavy police presence was seen outside a home on Wednesday morning, Illinois State Police have confirmed the arrest of a 30-year-old Tuscola man after finding pornographic images of children in his possession.

An online tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children led to ISP searching the home of Jeremy D. Schrock. He was charged with two counts each of possessing and disseminating child pornography.

Schrock was taken to the Douglas County Jail.

The ISP, Illinois Attorney General’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, Douglas County State’s Attorney’s Office all worked together to carry out the investigation and arrest.

CHAMPAIGN COUNTY, Ill. (WCIA) — There is a heavy police presence at the area of Hayes Road about 1 mile south of the Champaign and Douglas County line on Route 45.

Illinois State Police confirmed with WCIA that there is an active investigation they are handling in the area. Since the investigation is open and ongoing, there is no further information they can share at this time.
