Isolated showers, storms Wednesday with greater threat again Friday

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — Tuesday night’s showers and storms will exit the area during the early overnight hours and temperatures will fall to the low 60s into Wednesday morning. Wednesday afternoon will bring a chance of a few showers or isolated storms. Any storm that can develop will be capable of producing gusty winds, heavy rain, and frequent lightning. Highs will be near 80 degrees.

Thursday is trending dry as our next weather system slows down a bit. The next chance of strong to severe storms will be Friday, with increasing chances Friday night.

As of the latest data, storms may be capable of damaging winds and/or a tornado threat. We are still analyzing the timing of the low-pressure system and the amount of wind shear so keep checking back.
