Isleta Village woman accused of killing her two young sons

NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – Authorities announced charges against a woman who was living in the Isleta Pueblo. Officials believe she murdered two family members.

According to the U.S. Department of Justice, Mariah Zuni, 32, of Isleta Village, is accused of killing her two sons. One was 5, and the other was 9 months old.

Albuquerque Fire Rescue: 3 employees arrested for DWI

A criminal complaint stated Zuni cut her sons’ throats with a bread knife at their home. She could face life in prison if convicted.

Zuni will remain in temporary custody until her detention hearing, which is scheduled for March 27, 2024.
