Isaiah Joseph Rea charged with fatal shooting on Princess Jeanne Drive

A 25-year-old man was charged Tuesday with the fatal shooting of Steven Sanchez on Princess Jeanne Drive.

The Las Cruces Police Department said it is searching for Isaiah Joseph Rea, who is wanted on an arrest warrant for first-degree felony murder, and whose whereabouts are currently unknown.

Rea is believed to still be armed with a firearm and should be considered dangerous, according to police

Rea is accused of shooting and killing Sanchez, April 29 at a home on Princess Jeanne Drive. Sanchez was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a news release from the Las Cruces Police Department. He had been shot at least one time, police said.
